Our Dairy Goats
We take our herds health very seriously and take the following precautions to ensure our goats maintain the best possible health and that your baby is happy, healthy and friendly when you pick them up. All of the goats receive Tech-Master minerals and baking soda weekly as well as an herbal wormer to prevent parasites. We do not give any drugs routinely, and only use chemical wormers when absolutely necessary. We copper bolus twice a year to help prevent parasites and copper deficiency and feed Chaffhaye, quality coastal hay and non-GMO grain to keep our does in the best possible condition for breeding, milking and kidding. We do not give CDT vaccinations to any of our goats as they can still get Enterotoxemia (Overeating Disease) and tetanus after being vaccinated and vaccines are simply against our personal philosophy, we do keep C&D antitoxin and Tetanus antitoxin on hand in case we ever need them.
Our does were all bottle fed and are very much our pets as well as providing milk and cheese for our family as well as babies once a year. They each have their own personalities and all come to their names for milking (most of the time, lol). We are present for each and every kidding and imprint on the babies at birth and feed them a bottle so they are friendly and take bottles easily if needed later.
We have a limited number of kids for sale each Spring and Fall in order to keep our herd down to a manageable number. All kids will be on a bottle and can be picked up at 7 days of age. Please read our Sales Policy before contacting us to buy a kid.
